Preparation Instructions

Therapeutic Decoction Method

1. Add 1–3 teaspoons per cup (250 ml) or 1–3 tablespoons per 0.5–1.5 L of water.

2. Bring to a gentle boil. Simmer covered for 5 minutes.

3. Strain into a thermos or teapot. The same leaves may be reused up to two additional times with fresh water.

4. Drink warm or cooled. Can be enjoyed plain or blended with spices (ginger, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, turmeric).

Suggested Use

Start with 1–3 cups daily (250–750 ml).
If well tolerated, gradually increase up to 1–1.5 liters per day.

Some individuals may experience temporary detox / herxheimer reactions when beginning use. If this occurs, reduce intake and increase gradually. If needed consult with health professional.
